Occupational Therapist with experience and expertise in Life Care Planning
Ms. Kimberly Merkur is an Occupational Therapist, registered with the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario and a member of the Ontario Society of Occupational Therapists and the Canadian Association of Occupational Therapists. She is qualified and registered to practice in the province of Ontario.
She graduated from York University with an Honours Specialization Degree in Kinesiology. She continued her education at University of Toronto where she completed her Masters of Science in Occupational Therapy.
She has clinical experience in the assessment and treatment of individuals with physical, neurological, psychological and cognitive impairments and who have been involved in motor vehicle accidents.
She has attended conferences and seminars on insurance policy and litigation, cognitive assessment and intervention. She has received a certificate from OISE in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and she is a Certified BrainFx Administrator (CBA).
She has participated in catastrophic assessment workshops and courses including the training course given by the American Board of Independent Medical Examiners (ABIME) for the AMA Guides to the Evaluation of Permanent Impairment, 4th Edition with Psychiatric Impairment Methodology of AMA Guides, 6th Edition.
She has received certification through the ABIME in the 4th and the 6th Editions of the AMA guides to the Evaluation of Permanent Impairment and Psychiatric Impairment Methodology.
She is a Canadian Certified Life Care Planner.
